Did you know that around 35,29% of all the circulating Bitcoins have been stolen from users? Scammers have found ways to trick people and have stolen approximately 6 million Bitcoins. The US organization that deals with cybersecurity CipherTrace has reported in 2018 that scammers took $1.7 billion in Bitcoins. Also, there was an increase of 400% in thefts. Unfortunately, these criminal activities are on the rise, and it seems that the trend will continue for the foreseeable future. The most common forms of scamming are hidden mining malware and scam projects. In 2018 the cases of hidden mining had increased by 4000%, and in just the third quarter of 2018, around 4 million new threats have been found.
